The Unsafe House seems all set to light fires to any latest craze, phase, or what might be called, ‘the modern stage’. An art collective who are totally committed to indulging in the self-indulgent, Tarik Sadouma leads the way for this group (Crazy Gang?) in delivering what the fuck ever they want or need to in certain times, moods, or climates. As usual with such glorious crackpots, let us go down the hole. With the right kind of lunacy in mind, breath, and authenticity, it is worth it.
Welcome to the sewers beneath Leipzig’s sanitized “woke” art temples, where HGB’s polished frauds choke on their own slogans. This isn’t art school karaoke; it’s a bare-knuckle brawl with the fakery of a scene that loves diversity only when it’s pre-packaged and neutered. Pro-Palestinian midgets can fuck off. Here, a great pro-Israeli hermaphrodite tears into the hollow theater of the trans movement. A dancer without legs turns pity into a weapon. A pro-Palestinian dwarf (YEAH YEAH) laughs in the face of cancellation. And, Felten Ink favourite Ronja Brainstorm shreds the cowardice of her peers — and the bureaucrats who hide behind rainbow flags while suffocating proper expression. This should be an extended interview with Ronja, but sadly, we’re left wanting.
“While woke art schools like HGB Leipzig would despise it, this crisis meeting at The Unsafe House plunged headfirst into forbidden territory. It is the kind of dialogue that such institutions typically tiptoe around in fear and agony. This segment of The Unsafe Podcast tells the tale of a hermaphrodite, a legless dancer, and a pro-Palestinian little person, and presents a lineup of personae non gratae as Ronja unpacks her own battles with her peers as well as the HGB direction itself. This is less an interview than a backstage pass to a theater of survival in an art world that’s quick to cheer and quicker still to cancel. More episodes will follow soon. Each one will pull back another layer of the art world’s contradictions. Welcome to The Artist Cafe – Chapter 1: LEIPZIG & THE WOKIES Featuring: Ronja Brainstorm, Amir Ishar, Sina Khani, Ramona, Ruth Spetter, Tarik Sadouma & Shakur”
